Ola Batarseh
Dr. Batarseh's training is in Industrial Engineering. She graduated with a BSc. in 2006 from the University of Jordan and completed her graduate studies from the University of Central Florida; earning a Masters and PhD in 2008 and 2010, respectively, focusing on discrete-event simulation (DES). Her postdoc years at Georgia Tech introduced her to model-based system engineering (MBSE), where she merged MBSE and DES through domain-specific languages (DSL); automating DES models from SysML models based on Rockwell Collins manufacturing system DSL. She is OCSMP certified - Model User and Model Builder Fundamentals. She is working on completing her Architecture and Systems Engineering professional certificate from MIT.
Ola's industry experience is in a myriad of service and manufacturing domains. She worked in the healthcare arena, producing simulation models to support the decision-making process to support system improvements, in addition to producing dashboards from big data to highlight KPIs.
Before joining Dassault Systemes, Ola worked with the General Motors (GM) MBSE team, developing modeling practices for GM's System Engineering organization using SysML. Her current position is Lead Expert Solution Architect at Dassault Systemes, where she conducts internal projects to raise the model-based capability, competency, and capacity of DSIS, and conducts regular client consulting efforts on enabling improved projects using model-based methods and analysis. She is an adjunct professor at University of Massachusetts Lowell.
