Christopher Nelson is a spaceflight systems engineer working in the Air Force Research Laboratory Space Vehicles Directorate in the Modeling and Analysis branch at Kirtland AFB, NM. Christopher has directed Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) efforts across multiple programs and coordinated model creation across multiple contractors.  Christopher graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in December 2022 and begin working with the Air Force Research Laboratory in 2023. Christopher has a background in thermal and robotic systems which he applies directly to his flight program. After graduating he was trained in MBSE by Capt Chris Reed and began to oversee MBSE implementation on the AFRL flight program.
