Principal Systems Engineer, Airbus Americas

Allan Lang received his undergraduate degree in Materials Engineering from Auburn University and after graduation worked for the U.S. Navy performing failure analysis, crash investigations and predictive maintenance engineering for 10 years. Over the next 10 years, Allan performed systems engineering functions in the development and integration of aerospace and weapons products for several major U.S. defence contractors.  Allan has been a Principal Systems Engineer with Airbus for the past 12 years in the Oxygen Systems Design Office and now serves as a Systems Engineering Champion for Airbus North America and as a member of the Airbus Group Systems Engineering Governance Technical Committee. Allan is currently the INCOSE Blues Chapter Vice President and is pursuing his PhD in Systems Engineering at the University of South Alabama in his spare time. Allan was instrumental in the introduction of SysML to the Airbus Mobile Engineering Center in 2018 with the recommendation to procure No Magic's Cameo Systems Modeler. He now serves on the Cabin and Cargo MBSE Multifunction Team to promote the use and harmonization of system modeling across product development teams.
